01/07/25 Tues.  I was having my early morning coffee at 0530 and decided to try paying for the oven by credit card again, but the same fault occurs, it is rejected by the vendor.  I tried using a debit card instead.......and that was accepted!  Now it will be delivered to my friend's house and I will have to arrange for it to be picked up and shipped to Malaysia.

05/07/25 Sat. The problems with getting an oven are such a headache, it's just one thing after another!  We've been over to the yard this morning with a completed sewing job for Tom and Sheryl - and picked up another job from them!

19/07/25 Sat.  We've had a whole week of storms caused by two low pressure areas between Luzon, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  Today we have 32 knots of wind in the pond and stern lines are breaking.  We helped Razmal secure two new lines from Shelley's stern to the wall.  Tomorrow is supposed to be better weather!

The oven saga continues and I've contacted numerous companies asking about shipment - either they won't ship 'white' goods, or the package is too big/heavy or they simply don't bother to answer emails.  I don't really understand the problem, it's about half the size of a household domestic oven, weighs just 22 Kg packed, contains no gas or electrical components and is basically just a metal box!

20/07/25 Sun. Such a change in the weather today, there isn't a breath of wind and not a ripple on the water surface!

25/07/25 Fri. The outboard engine was giving a little bit of trouble (starting), so I took out the spark plug, cleaned it and reset the gap to 0.9mm, then adjusted the idle screw and the mixture screw.  All running correctly now.

26/07/25 Sat. Ana continues to sew small jobs for various boats - tiller covers, lee cloths and the like.  We also dropped the genoa sail to repair the leather covering of the tack and discovered the head of the sail was falling apart, so that took two days to repair/restitch by hand.

30/07/25 Weds. The Sail Malaysia Rally arrived in Kudat, about 12 anchoring in the pond on the hotel wall, another 12 outside the entrance and a few more in the town anchorage.  They will be leaving again on the 1st of next month.

31/07/25 Thurs.  I have been waiting since the beginning of last month, for a tablet to arrive from Amazon.  Yesterday I was contacted by UPS asking for certain documents to clear customs, but I don't have those - notably a Port Clearance Certificate, which is only issued to the boat on the day of departure, and despite explaining this to UPS several times, they insist that I supply it.
